First Aid:
The "American Safety & Health Institute" certification program in First Aid takes four hours to complete. Topics include shock, bleeding, burns (heat and chemical), cuts and abrasions, amputation, head injury, heat stroke, diabetes, choking, muscle injuries, fractures, electrocution, Lymes disease, seizures, insect bites and more. Course provides opportunities for role-play and small group activities. A three-year card is awarded upon successful completion.

Adult and Child and Infant CPR:
Our CPR program follows current American Heart Association standards for the Heartsaver Course. This module includes one-rescuer CPR, Heimlich maneuver for the conscious victim, techniques for removal of foreign body airways obstruction, cardiac risk factors, Automated External Defibrillators (AED), signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke, resuscitation of drowning victims, water safety and accident prevention. Successful achievement of CPR knowledge and skills is determined by demonstration of proper manikin performance techniques. Upon completion of the course participants will receive a card good for two years.

Healthcare Provider/Professional CPR:
This course is intended for healthcare professionals and will include how to recognize and respond to sudden cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and foreign-body airway obstruction. You will learn to identify signs and symptoms of heart attach and stroke in adults, and breathing difficulty in children. Also included are skills of CPR for victims of all ages, ventilation with barrier and bag-mask devices, use of an Automated External Defibrillators (AED), as well as foreign-body airway obstruction. Upon completion of this course a two year card will be issued. (If you are a nursing student... this class is for you!)

"SUPER BABYSITTER":
The "Super Babysitter" course is designed for youth 11 and 12 years older who are interested in working as Mother's helpers, as well as those 13 years and older who will be baby-sitting on their own. "Super Babysitter" focuses on providing participants with the knowledge and skills essential to becoming a responsible babysitter. Course content includes infant and toddler care, first aid, age appropriate activities for children, and marketing tips.

Instructor Course:
The Instructor Course is a 2-day program designed to provide instructor candidates (both BLS and Heartsaver) with the knowledge and skills necessary to reach and teach potential BLS providers. The course provides a structured initiation for the instructor candidates and serves as the foundation for their development. It provides instructor candidates the opportunity to develop and refine their presentation and teaching skills. After completing the course, instructor candidates are expected to continue to prepare and practice with guidance from experienced instructors.
